$550 per month full board.
Long term boarders receive lessons at $45 per hour

Quarter Run Farm is a picturesque facility located in Carthage, NC. The beautiful main barn has spacious stalls, washpit, heated tack room, restroom, feedroom and a newly completed apartment above the barn. On the property there is a second barn with stalls and tackroom, outside concrete pad with crossties for bathing and grooming. Also run in sheds with stalls, pastures, paddocks, dressage arena, jumping field and scattered cross-country jumps through the fields and wooded trails. Caroline and her husband, Pete, live in the house at the entrance of the driveway leading to the barn. The atmosphere at Quarter Run Farm is pleasant and relaxed but focused on serious training of the horses and riders for Eventing!

All travel expenses plus 10% of the price of the horse

A working student at Quarter Run Farm receives:

1. Full board for one horse.
2. Mounted riding instruction several times per week.
3. Competition opportunities.
4. In depth experience behind the scenes at an event barn learning;
   a. About training event horses
   b. To prepare horses for sale
   c. How to develop and implement personalized conditioning schedules for  a
       horse in training.
   d. About specialized farrier and veterinary needs
   e. The use of alternative physical therapies to enhance a horse's
      performance
   f. All aspects of preparing for 3 day events
   g. The art of clipping and braiding of horses for competition
   h. All other aspects of managing a multi-horse event barn

The working student also receives an in depth, hands on education in the
management of a multi-horse facility as well as an intensive riding program.
A one year program at Quarter Run Farm will provide the working student with
enough expertise to enter the equine job market in any one of several
